We are keen to discuss with many users of Backpack on how they might use this potential integration.

allow the URL of a document to be input and have edocr download and process it for me
Allowing the upload of a document through simply entering the URL of the document will make barrier to entry much smaller for getting content onto edocr.
Additionally, this will also make interoperability with other online document systems better. Afterall, a URL is a link to online content and so it seems a natural way to link to content that exists 'in the cloud' rather than on the user's drive.

An independent developer has shown interest in implementing this functionality. Will update when completed.

The issue that you have, is that you did not think about the inside security in your own company.
A company that sells space to guard documents need to understand the importance of privacy. This means that you look at the outside possibilities of hacking.
You forget that your Tech guy has acces to the information on your server and the information is not for them to see. So a company that really looks to protect our information need to guaranty that the information is safe when it comes at steeling, ripping and the most importance privacy.
So you need… more

edocr.com was built for public documents, so SSL was never an issue. As we have started to integrate with SaaS products such as Zendesk, it makes sense for us to review how we cater for private documents. Thanks for bringing this up!

It would be great if the Amazon applications for sending documents to the Kindle could somehow be integrated into edocr. http://www.amazon.
