edocr.com platform

Welcome to the official feedback forum of edocr.com. Do you have an idea? Do you recognize a good idea when you see one? We want to hear from you!

I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Make the text inside of edocr pdfs readable by Google

So, at the moment the text inside of edocr's pdfs aren't readable by Google. What that means is that G comes a-crawling, reads the great bit of text you've written in the description part of your page. But all that great content you uploaded, the important bit of the page that you actually care about people finding and reading, isn't seen by Google.

I love edocr, but at the moment, this feature is a big problem for us. Scribd has the amazing ability to show google content, and we'd love to see it on edocr as well. On scribd, we've…

      • allow the URL of a document to be input and have edocr download and process it for me

Allowing the upload of a document through simply entering the URL of the document will make barrier to entry much smaller for getting content onto edocr.

Additionally, this will also make interoperability with other online document systems better. Afterall, a URL is a link to online content and so it seems a natural way to link to content that exists 'in the cloud' rather than on the user's drive.
